38,000 of residents commute to employment outside of the region;
Generates more than $5.3 billion of Gross Regional Product annually;
$888 million in agriculture products are produced per annum; and
Supplies 41 per cent of Melbourne’s food needs - including 80 per cent of its vegetables.
