PUCV welcomes new Victorian Government

Peri Urban Councils Victoria (PUCV) Chair Cr Moira Berry congratulated Premier Andrews on forming Government, saying the Labor Government had been offered a fresh opportunity to deliver for Victoria’s fast-growing fringe region.

The peri urban region surrounding Melbourne and Geelong is one of the fastest growing areas in the country, as people increasingly prioritise lifestyle and affordability.

“These rapidly-growing regions need infrastructure and services to support that increased demand, while balancing the needs of existing industry and agriculture” Cr Berry explained.

“We look forward to working with the new Government to deliver better digital connectivity and improved road and rail transport along with investment in local infrastructure and job creation” Cr Berry said.
