Our board has been championing the needs of the peri urban region during a recent delegation to Canberra.  During these meetings we briefed federal members of parliament on PUCV’s landmark report “Managing Urban Growth in Peri Urban Areas” and discussed the planning, infrastructure funding and urban growth management issues that are common across PUCV member councils.  We were pleased to meet with the following members of parliament:

●        Hon Kristy McBain MP Minister for Regional Development, Local Government and Territories;

●        Senator the Hon Carol Brown Assistant Minister for Infrastructure and Transport;

 At a State level, we have met with Victorian Government and Opposition MP’s to discuss the impact of population growth and urban development in light of the recommendations from PUCV’s report “Managing Urban Growth in Peri Urban Areas” .
